I would not use peppermint in the bath because when I used peppermint oil in my bath it gave me horrible hypothermia. I wonder if this happened because of a magnesium deficiency?

The article says, "For acute sinusitis, the most common treatment is an over the counter medication such as ibuprofen, combined with an over the counter expectorant, such as Benadryl." In the US, Benadryl is not an expectorant - it's an antihistamine. It dries things up and makes you tired in the meantime. Expectorants used in the US are Mucinex and guaifenesin.

A more common protocol is ibuprofin (to reduce inflammation in the nasal passages and sinuses), combined with pseudoephedrine (to decongest the sinuses) and something like Mucinex to help thin the secretions and get them out. I find Nyquil and pseudoephedrine taken at bedtime to be an effective combination.

The alternative to pseudoephedrine - Sudafed PE - is not any more effective than placebo for most people, so get the real stuff.

Warm or refrigerated compresses on the sinuses can also alleviate some of the pain.

i have a 2 and 1/2 inch open water blister on my upper ankle and the inside skin is completely exposed . i have been useing silver sulfadiazine which is white in color and applying it to the open sore , then put a 3x5 dauze pad on it , i then wrap it with a sterile wrap bandage . then i tape it to make sure it don't come off .

what i need to know is , would spray bactine be better and then put the gauze bandages on or would it be better if i were to use . aloe vera gel and then wrap it because the open sore drains constantly .

i want this open sore to heal because i am tired of the pain and tired of takeing hydrocodone 10 / acetaminophen 500 mg. pills

please tell me soon this water blister that the skin came off on hurts and is sending pain up my leg .

I keep getting Charlie horses every night, very painful wake me up from my sleep and make me cry. I've tried everything massages, multi vitamins, stretching, but still I am in much pain. Oh and if it helps I have a an injured knee to my other leg and I also sometimes get charlie horses in my injured knee and that has to be the worst pain. How can I get this to change?

I have a question. I have a lot of pock marks left over from years ago, and a few of them are a bit deep. Would the potato or microdermabrasion still be effective?

There is a new, covenient First Aid Gel on the market that has proven effective for jellyfish stings called StingMate. The active ingredient is 5% acetic acid which is like a really strong vinegar...Lidocaine free and safe to use, StingMate is being used worldwide by beach rescue units, lifeguards and thew dive and surf communities. Available at your local retailers or on the Internet at www.stingmate.com ...also effective with an application of heat (113 degrees for 10-15 minutes) for the Man of War injury...good luck and may all your beach, fishing, diving and surf days be pleasant ones...
