Home Remedies for Itchy Skin
There’s a reason why people dread itchy skin – because an itch can strike at odd and crucial times. An itch in the lower abdomen can be even worse, although this is the most common type of itch that men experience. While social etiquette demands that you should never attend to your itch in public, trying to ignore it can drive you crazy.
Impure blood is primarily responsible for itching, and dry skin, pregnancy; inflammations in the skin, parasitic infestations and eczema are secondary causes of this problem. To get rid of your itch, you just need to treat these problems with effective home remedies that are proven.
Natural Home Remedies for Itchy Skin

- Take equal amounts of cinnamon powder and honey and blend these components together. Make a thick paste and apply this on the affected region, where your skin is itchy. Ensure that you do this more than once to cure itchy skin.
- Apart from peppermint salts, white vinegar can help in curing itchy skin too. Add white vinegar (one cup should do) to your bath and soak in this for a good while (ten to twenty minutes). This is a proven and effective procedure.
- You can also use apple cider vinegar to cure itchy skin. Take some apple cider vinegar and mix it with twice the amount of water. Use this solution to treat the affected regions in your skin frequently throughout the day.
- This one may not seem too appealing, but you can add two cups of oatmeal to the water in your bathtub and soak in the tub for a while to cure itching skin. Ensure that you use lukewarm water, though.
- In case the weather is dry, you should use moisturizers regularly. Use some moisturizer on your skin every single time after you take a bath, and this will help in preventing itches and rashes.

- Neem products help in treating skin problems effectively, so use neem oil to treat the affected parts and to get permanent relief from itchy skin.

These simple home remedies can help in curing your itch and bringing some much needed relief, but ensure that you maintain your skin well just to be on the safer side.

I would not use peppermint in the bath because when I used peppermint oil in my bath it gave me horrible hypothermia. I wonder if this happened because of a magnesium deficiency?
